Confident Humility: Bringing your full self to work without being full of yourself

Join us to learn the concept of “confident humility,” where we’ll explore the question: how can we help students develop confidence without arrogance, and coach-ability without insecurity? Research indicates that balancing these attributes is one of the most difficult skills to master in early adulthood. How do we role model and teach what it means for young professionals to show up with confidence while also recognizing when they’re the least experienced professional in the room? How do we coach new employees to yield to the context and authority of seasoned professionals in their organization without apologizing for what they don’t know? In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to support students in communicating effectively, building their genuine confidence, and developing strategies to handle the inevitable mistakes and challenges that arise when they’re new to the job and the learning curve is high.
